We love working with concrete, however, there is no escaping the fact that cement production is one of the biggest industrial causes of carbon pollution. To lower our environmental footprint, we developed our own low carbon alternative, Bloom Cement.
The low carbon alternative
Bloom Cement has a reduced environmental footprint due to the fact that it contains sequestered waste materials that would otherwise end up in landfill. Bloom Cement is made up of 70% repurposed waste materials. These waste materials are the result of power generation (burning coal) and the production of carbon steel and alloy metals.
Sequestering these waste products inside the Bloom Cement mix isn’t just better for the environment, it also enhances the quality of the concrete used in the landscape and construction products Pluto Projects creates. Want to know more?
Concrete using Bloom Cement can be delivered to site for pouring on request.
Bloom Cement has been tested to Australian Standard AS3972.
